The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has launched a new tool to help those in need of treatment for substance use disorder locate and access treatment near them. FindTreatment.gov is a new and updated version of a database that the agency has been working on for years. The website allows users to enter their zip code and find treatment options near them. The site is live now and is aimed at consistently updating information to remain a comprehensive resource.
We encourage board certified counselors to visit the site and share the resource with their clients and colleagues. If a treatment center where you are employed is not listed on the database, please contact govtaffairs@nbcc.org and we can get in touch with SAMHSA and have your facility added.
